Biography

Liam Godwin

is a British-born award winning multi-instrumentalist composer/songwriter, musical supervisor, musical director and arranger. He is predominantly known for his accolade as the youngest ever West End conductor/musical director and for working across international and the UK theatre scene on shows such as: Marie and Rosetta, A Complicated Women (Self Esteem), Play On!, Misty (New York), Bat Boy, Get Up Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical and for his work with artists/musicians: Beverley Knight, JP Cooper, Melanie C, SAULT and most notably with pop star: Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) as her vocal musical director, arranger and pianist. Liam was the recipient of the Lord Michael Hastings of Scarisbrick Award at the 2025 BBTA Awards for outstanding contribution to theatre. Liam is also known for staring in the Global Yamaha 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign.
