Biography:

Liam Godwin is one of Londons finest up and coming Performers and Musicians. Consistently working as a Musical Director, Performer, Musician, Vocalist, Songwriter/Composer, Vocal/Instrumental Arranger and Performing Arts Coach, Liam has gained an extremely impressive amount of experience and knowledge in his field. 

Liam’s love for music started as a young boy with classical/choral music when at the age of 7, became a chorister in the choir at St Augustines of Canterbury, Whitton. He quickly went up the choral ranks, becoming Head Chorister and is currently the Director of Music. A position of which he first held for over a year at the impressive age of 15 and then returning again as the Director of Music, this time at 18.

Liam plays the Piano, Organ, Drums as well as being an extremely skilled and experienced Conductor. Liam is also an extremely versatile and skilled vocalist, singing in multiple styles and genres specialising in Pop, Classical and Musical Theatre and is known for his smooth tone and extended vocal range.

Liam graduated from the World famous BRIT School for performing arts and technology, who’s alumni include Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Tom Holland amongst many other of the industries talented professionals and creatives. It is there he studied Musical Theatre for 4 years and had the time of his life.

Liam has the privilege of working in some of the most incredible venues for different shows and projects. Some of his previous work includes: The O2 Arena – The BRIT Awards 2020 (Stormzy’s Choir – Vocalist) | Ipswich Regent – Griff Rhys Jones, OBE: 2019 Merry Christmas Ipswich show, cast including Lee Mack, Rick Wakeman, Angus Deayton, Steven K Amos, Andy Parsons, Al Murray and more (Connie Lambs Musical Director/Pianist) | Cadogan Hall – The Colour Purple In Concert (Ensemble/Choir) | St Pauls Cathedral (Singer) | The Other Palace Theatre – Multiple shows (Musical Director/Pianist) | The Rose Theatre, Kingston (Singer, Pianist, Performance/Vocal Coach) | The Gherkin – MasterCard/BPI (Musical Director/Pianist/Vocal Arranger) | The Intercontinental Hotel – BRIT Awards Diamond Dinner 2019 (Choir Leader/Vocal Arranger/Singer) | Shoreditch Town Hall – Market Minds International Tech Conference (Music Supervisor & Coordinator/Musical Director).

Liam also stars in the Yamaha 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign as well as performing in JP Cooper’s Gospel Choir in multiple of his latest Music Videos for his 2021 Album – SHE.

Liam is The Associate Musical Director on the new Bob Marley Musical – Get Up Stand Up, which will be hitting Londons West End in October 2021 at The Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, making Liam the youngest Associate Musical Director and Conductor in the West End.
