About Liam Godwin:

“Liam Godwin is one of the most sought after Musical Directors of his generation!” Liam’s love for music started as a young boy with classical/choral music when at the age of 7, became a chorister in the choir at St Augustines of Canterbury, Whitton. He quickly went up the choral ranks, becoming Head Chorister and then – Director of Music. A position of which he first held for over a year at the impressive age of 15.

Liam plays the Piano, Organ, Drums as well as being an extremely skilled and experienced Conductor. Liam is also an extremely versatile Vocalist, singing in multiple styles and genres specialising in Pop, Classical and Musical Theatre and is known for his smooth tone and extended vocal range.

Liam graduated from The BRIT School for performing arts and technology, whose alumni include: Adele, Amy Winehouse, Tom Holland amongst many other of the industries talented professionals and creatives. It is there he studied Musical Theatre for 4 years – gaining 2 University Arts London (UAL) Extended Diplomas in Musical Theatre. Liam also has a Bachelor of Music Degree with Honours in Popular Music Performance – Specialising in Vocals.

Liam also stars in the Yamaha 2021 Silent Piano Advert Campaign as well as performing in JP Cooper’s Gospel Choir in multiple of his latest Music Videos for his 2021 Album – SHE.

Liam is The Original Associate Musical Director, before for-filling the role of Deputy Musical Director on Olivier Award Winning Musical – Get Up Stand! Up The Bob Marley Musical which opened in Londons West End at The Lyric Theatre on 1/10/2021 before taking its Final Bow on 8/1/23, making Liam the Youngest Ever West End Conductor and Musical Director! Liam has just returned from New York having Co Musically Directed Arinzé Kene’s Misty at The Shed, where he also supplied Additional Musical Arrangements and Keyboard Programming as well as playing Raymond in the show.
